The firm was founded in 1985 by partners Terrell N. Roberts III, and Douglas J. Wood. They were joined by partner Christopher A. Griffiths in 1990. All three attorneys are skilled litigators who possess extensive trial experience.
Doug Wood and Chris Griffiths are widely considered two of the top criminal defense attorneys in the region. They regularly handle serious felonies such as murder, sex offense, robbery, narcotics and theft. They also handle less serious cases, such as serious traffic and DWI cases.
Terry Roberts handles civil cases for the firm. He has obtained millions of dollars in judgments and settlements for clients in a wide variety of cases, including auto accidents, bus accidents, medical malpractice and consumer fraud. Mr. Roberts has developed a specialty in police misconduct cases, and is a regional authority in cases involving police brutality and false arrest.
